There has been so much coverage about climate change recently and it all seems very doom and gloom. A lot of conversations about the problem but I haven’t found that as many people are talking about real solutions.

I found 2040 really inspiring because the film doesn’t just talk about why climate change is happening and what we could do. Instead they choose the optimistic avenue and go around the world and show people who are already doing awesome things. Like villages in Bangladesh operating their own solar power network or farms that are actually drawing carbon out of the atmosphere rather than putting more in!

Whether you believe in climate change or not, whether you believe everything in the film or not, that is totally up to you. But it is pretty cool food for thought.

How to watch it? You can rent 2040 on Youtube for around $4 or buy the DVD from the 2040 website.

About Kirsty

Kirsty is a yoga / meditation teacher and transformational coach who currently hosts our Monday to Wednesday retreats. She is known for her soothing voice and knack for sharing the teachings of yoga and meditation in a way that is inclusive and accessible to all.

A long battle with anxiety led Kirsty to the practice and it completely transformed her way of life. She realised that her actions affected not just her, but all of the world. That is when she committed to the life-long journey towards wholeness that, with the help of yoga, she continues today. To Kirsty, yoga is a path to self-exploration, conscious awareness, and compassion.

The effects that addicts still experience from taking Xanax are a sense of peace; calmness and physical comfort; self-confidence. Sometimes the drug manifests excessive courage and inappropriate behavior. For example, a person crosses the road without following the rules or walks along the edge of the roof without fear of height.
