Who is the yoga suitable for ?
Yoga is suitable for all persons of all ages and all levels of health. Yoga is all about the individual so there is always a yoga practice that is right for you. The question is understanding what that practice is. One size does not fit all. You will learn to do a yoga practice that is suitable for you.
Is Billabong retreat suitable for mobility impaired persons ?
Unfortunately as a bush retreat Billabong Retreat is situated on a rock escarpment and many buildings are only accessible by stairs. However please contact us so that we can discuss the option of access or otherwise a yoga program at your home.
What is the food like and what about dietary needs ?
All our food is vegetarian homemade locally sourced food that is delicious, nutritious and yummy. Our retreats are not intense detox or cleansing retreats that require specialist equipment and facilities. We can cater for gluten, sugar & dairy free easily. Vegans will have a few less choices.
Eco Retreat
We are a fully certified eco-retreat so take our impact on the environment very seriously. We are self sufficient for water and waste disposal and operate a bio-pod worm farm waste water system. It is very important that only biodegradable waste is put down the toilets and sinks. Water is restricted to 50 litres of rain water per person per day. With short showers this amount is ample. We also have a solar hot water heating system and a grid connected photovoltaic electricity generating system. We aim to minimise recycling and landfill waste and we compost all our food waste.
